What a £1,000 Website Rebuild Includes

Exactly what the fixed £1,000 website rebuild covers for up to 40 pages, what is quoted separately, how payment works and what the optional £100 care plan is for.

A fixed price is only useful if you know what it buys. This guide sets out what the standard £1,000 website rebuild includes, what sits outside it, and how to tell whether it suits your business.

The short answer

The standard rebuild is £1,000 fixed for a complete website of up to 40 pages. That covers the planning, the core copy, the design and build, the search foundations, enquiry forms and the launch. Care after launch is optional at £100 a month. Online stores, logins, bespoke features and third-party costs are quoted separately, in writing, before anything starts.

What is included

  • Positioning and message hierarchy: what the site says first, and to whom
  • A page plan of up to 40 pages, mapped to how your customers actually search
  • Copywriting for the core pages
  • Design and build, mobile-first
  • Page speed, mobile and accessibility work
  • Page titles, descriptions and structured data so search engines understand the site
  • Enquiry forms and call booking, with Google Analytics conversion tracking
  • Redirects from your old web addresses, so existing search visibility is carried across
  • Testing, launch, training, documentation and handover

The price is for the package, not per page. A site that needs 12 pages costs the same £1,000 as one that needs 40.

What is not included

Some work is genuinely different in size and risk, so it is priced on its own rather than hidden inside the fixed fee:

  • Online stores and payment checkouts
  • Customer logins, portals and membership areas
  • Bespoke web applications and complex booking systems
  • Integrations with an ERP or bespoke CRM
  • Multi-language or multi-site rollouts
  • Brand identity from scratch, photography, video and paid stock images
  • Domain names, hosting and software subscriptions, which are billed to you at cost

If your project needs any of these, you get a written quote first. Nothing is added silently.

How the build runs

A standard build takes about four weeks from the signed brief:

  • Week one: the brief and the page plan are agreed
  • Weeks two and three: structure, copy and build
  • Week four: review, redirects and launch

Two structured review rounds are included, one on the page plan and copy and one on the built site. The biggest factor in speed is usually how quickly feedback comes back.

How payment works

£499 books the slot and starts the brief, and £501 is due at launch. There is no hourly billing. If you take the care plan, it starts the month after the site goes live.

What the £100 a month care plan is for

Websites go stale when nobody owns them. The optional care plan covers content changes and new pages within reason, software and security updates, uptime and speed monitoring, and a monthly snapshot of traffic and enquiries. It runs month to month with 30 days' notice and no minimum term. You can also take the build on its own, own the site outright and look after it yourself.

Who it suits

The rebuild suits a small business whose website is the thing holding it back: it looks out of date, is hard to update, does not explain the services clearly, or does not turn visitors into enquiries. If the site is sound but nobody can find it, SEO work may be the better first step instead.

A next step

If you are not sure whether your site needs replacing, run the free Website Checker first. If you already know, the website rebuild page has a short form that produces an indicative quote and page plan.

Questions

Working with a marketing consultant

Do you work with small businesses and sole traders?
Yes. MCG offers agency-style delivery with the flexibility of working directly with a freelance marketer. You do not need a marketing department or a large turnover to start. A website rebuild, a focused campaign or practical advice can be a standalone piece of work.
How much is a full website rebuild?
The standard website rebuild is £1,000 fixed for up to 40 pages, including structure, design, core page copy, technical SEO, enquiry forms and launch. Care is optional at £100 a month. Ecommerce, bespoke applications, complex integrations and third-party costs are quoted separately before work starts.
Can I hire you for a one-off project?
Yes. You can book a website rebuild, an SEO project, campaign work or a marketing review without taking an ongoing retainer. We agree the work and the price in writing first. Ongoing support is available if you need it afterwards.
